Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By downloading, accessing or using the Unmire app or website ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Unmire is a personal development app that provides weight tracking, fasting timers, goal setting, journaling and AI-powered coaching. The Service is available in two tiers:

• Free tier — weight tracking, fasting timer, goals, achievements, homescreen widgets, and Sol currency.
• Sage tier (£4.99/month) — everything in Free, plus AI coaching with Croackus, journal, sanctuary features (lanterns, wishing well), and enhanced insights. Includes a 30-day free trial.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Unmire. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

4. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or allow others to access the Service through your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

• The Sage tier is a recurring monthly subscription at £4.99/month.
• New subscribers receive a 30-day free trial. Your payment method is validated at sign-up but you are not charged until the trial ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact hello@unmire.co.uk for refund requests.

6. AI Coaching

Croackus is an AI coaching character. Important limitations:

• Croackus is not a medical professional. His responses are not medical, nutritional, or psychological advice.
• Croackus does not prescribe calorie targets, specific diets, supplements, or medication dosages.
• If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.
• AI responses are generated by third-party providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) and may occasionally be inaccurate or inappropriate despite our safety systems.
• You should not rely solely on Croackus for health-related decisions. Always consult qualified professionals for medical or mental health concerns.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems.
• Attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or circumvent the AI coaching system's safety guardrails.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others.
• Post or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable through any community features.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and assets of Unmire (including but not limited to the Croackus character, artwork, lore, and branding) are the intellectual property of Unmire and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

9. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create within Unmire (weight entries, journal entries, goals, chat messages). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use your content for any other purpose.

10. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, all your data (including weight entries, journal entries, chat history, memories, and goals) will be permanently removed within 30 days. Active subscriptions will be cancelled automatically.

11. Service Availability

We strive to keep Unmire available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unmire and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
