How to delete your account
You can permanently delete your Unmire account and all associated personal data at any time. There are two ways to do this:
- From inside the app (preferred):
- Open Unmire on your device
- Tap the menu icon, then Account
- Scroll to Delete account and follow the prompts
- Confirm deletion. Your account is immediately locked and queued for permanent removal
- By email: if you cannot access the app, send a deletion request to hello@unmire.co.uk from the email address registered on your account. We will action it within 7 working days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following are permanently and irreversibly removed:
- Your name, email address, and password
- Profile information (height, weight, sex, language, location)
- Journal entries (encrypted at rest, then erased)
- Chat conversations with Croackus
- Personal memory profile (preferences, beliefs, behavioural patterns)
- Push notification tokens for your devices
- Wishes, photos, and personal media
What is retained (anonymised)
For statistical analysis and service-quality monitoring, the following are retained in anonymised form (with no link back to your identity):
- Weight tracking entries (numeric values, no name attached)
- Fasting periods (durations, no name attached)
- Goals and achievements (categorical, no name attached)
- Sol currency ledger entries
What is retained for legal compliance
For up to 6 years as required by UK tax and consumer-protection law:
- Billing records (subscription start/end, payment amounts, Stripe transaction IDs)
- Customer-service correspondence (if any)
For up to 12 months:
- Public lantern messages (safety / moderation review)
- User-submitted reports (safety / moderation review)
Grace period
When you request deletion, your account is locked immediately and you cannot log in. Your data is held in a soft-deleted state for 30 days, during which time you can contact hello@unmire.co.uk to cancel the deletion. After 30 days, the deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
